PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Thiourea dioxide or thiox is an organosulfur compound that is used in the textile industry. It functions as a reducing agent. Thiourea dioxide is not a dioxide, but instead is a derivative of a sulfinic acid(RS(O)(OH), hence the alternative name formamidine sulfinic acid.

PRODUCT USAGE

[Purpose 1]

It is widely used in chemical industry and textile industry. It is a strong reducing agent and increasingly replaces sodium hydrosulfite in the field of printing and dyeing

[Purpose 2]

Used as synthetic fiber auxiliary, decolorizing agent, photographic film emulsifier, chloroprene polymerization agent, rhodium and iridium separator, etc

[Purpose 3]

As a reducing agent, thiourea dioxide is widely used in the printing and dyeing industry for wool bleaching, dyeing with vat dyes and sulfur dyes, reducing detergent for disperse dye dyeing, and discharge bleaching agent. In organic synthesis, it is used to reduce ketones, quinones, nitros, azo, azo oxides, azo oxides, hypoazo compounds and organic sulfides. Thiourea dioxide is also used as a decolorant, a sensitizer for photographic gelled latex, and a chemical reagent for separating rare metal rhodium and iridium, which can improve the stability of polyethylene. Adding thiourea dioxide in the evaporation process of polyacrylonitrile and polymerization can improve the color of polyacrylonitrile, which is an important supporting product for synthetic fiber production. The product is also widely used in the production of fine chemical products such as medicine and spices.

[Purpose 4]

A reagent for the reduction of ketones to secondary alcohols. Separation of rare metals rhodium and iridium. Photographic emulsion sensitizer. PVC stabilizer. Enhance the tensile force of acrylonitrile synthetic fiber and improve the color. The product is also widely used in the production of fine chemical products such as medicine and spices. The pure broken thiourea dioxide is a stable compound with neither oxidation nor reduction. Its solubility in water is 26.7g/l (20 ℃), and the PH value of saturated water melt is 5.0. It is very stable even in the aqueous solution at 20-30 ℃, but heating the alkaline solution dissolved in thiourea dioxide has a very high reduction potential (- 1230Mv), which will decompose and free the reductive sulfite, thus showing a strong reduction activity.

PACKAGING & STORAGE

It should be placed in a cool and dry place indoors to avoid sun and rain.
